Hey Chris how many times have you dreaded a pending teleconference? Or for that matter, how many times have you listened to me complain about a pending teleconference? The hesitation could be for a variety of reasons such as not knowing how to get a conversation started with the participants, facing the same old explanation of your business offering and technology (software in our case) while trying to make it sound good…ughhhh. Here at VisualShare we have discovered that every once in awhile, just when you think you cannot do this teleconference thing again, you hit the mark.
Teleconferences can stretch on for anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and you are left asking yourself “what did we accomplish?” Given that the two, three (or more) preceding teleconferences with the same group left you dazed and confused? Or maybe, just maybe, you are just plain tired that day and the thought of initiating a teleconference seems well, just too painful to initiate or participate. This is not so with Clarity Medical Systems a group that manufactures and sells the RetCAM II.
Recently, we had a request to follow up with an engineer at Clarity Medical Systems to talk about the two companies’ technologies (VisualShare and Clarity Medical) and how we compliment each other. It was a great exchange of information and the engineer actively participated in the dialog. By all accounts he asked questions and provided concrete answers to our questions. He really got it and was genuinely interested in our collaboration technology and how we could consume images and data from their system. Believe it or not, he actually sent data within the hour following the teleconference. Now that is encouraging and all this was accomplished in less than 20 minutes! I call that a super-duper successful teleconference.
