VisualShare awarded SBIR
VisualShare awarded SBIR from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to develop telehealth applications for child abuse medical diagnosis.
In July of 2006, VisualShare wins a Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Institute for Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) to develop telehealth applications in child abuse medicine. The SBIR grant award allows VisualShare to conduct usability studies and further develop innovative solutions for child abuse diagnosis.
VisualShare technology solutions provide a collaborative framework for sharing photodocumentation and also functions as a consultation record, similar to an electronic patient record, that collects the entire clinical case content for peer review by clinicians at geographically remote sites.
The SBIR award will also allow VisualShare to continue to refine the web-based case consultation software that supports the Public-Private Partnership between Primary Children's Medical Center and the Utah State Attorney General. This partnership provides peer review support to Children's Justice Centers throughout the State of Utah.
